Landing memories since 1950.
Located on a private island along the Winnipeg River, Pine Island Lodge is a family-owned remote Canadian wilderness fishing destination. Nestled in the scenic Whiteshell Provincial Park, northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the island is easily accessible via float plane or river cruise. As a Cabela’s Certified Destination, you can count on the adventure of a lifetime with our world class fishing, breathtaking views, secluded cabins, heartwarming meals, and outstanding service and hospitality.
Pine Island Lodge’s location on the scenic Winnipeg River offers exceptional access to our famous Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass fishing. You can also cast for Sauger, Perch, Mooneye, and Whitefish. The 150-mile long Winnipeg River is not what most anglers imagine when they think of a river. The river flows around dozens of beautiful tree-covered islands that harbour quiet bays and deep dark runs where you find fish even in the hottest weather. An angler can fish virtually any type of water imaginable and there are endless miles of fish holding structure to explore. Yet, long boat rides aren’t necessary to find fish because you can virtually catch them from the doorstep of your cabin! Wind is not an issue at Pine Island as numerous protected bays and inlets protect you from losing valuable fishing days to poor weather.
Besides fishing on the river, Pine Island Lodge offers day-long portage and fly-in trips to various lakes for trophy Smallmouth Bass and Walleye.
Due to conservation policies like catch-and-release and Manitoba Angling Licence requirements, we have continued to maintain a high quality fishery for Northern Pike, Walleye, and Smallmouth Bass.
We use roomy 17- and 18- foot Lund outfitters and Pro V complete with 50 to 90 hp 4 stroke engines. Each boat is equipped with swivel seats, beverage cooler, landing net, boat cushions, and a professional guide per two anglers. Our guides are excellent boat handlers and will ensure a safe and unforgettable trip.
