From Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, the MLOA will be showcasing Manitoba to the world’s hunting community at the Safari Club International convention in Nevada.
The gathering is said to be the world’s largest congregation of hunters, and it is something MLOA has attended with pride for many years.
We will be presenting two seminars to show-goers about hunting in Manitoba, and have also been asked to present to the international outfitters roundtable on Jan 30, about our Hunter and Angler Preservation Fund. The roundtable is an annual meeting of outfitter associations from across the globe, and this year’s theme is giving back to the community. We are honoured and humbled that the event’s organizers asked us to present on our HAPF, as they have identified our program as an international success story worth repeating.
We will also be meeting with our Canadian colleagues at the Canadian Federation of Outfitter Association meetings that take place during the event. We will be exhibiting to prospective hunters as well, as SCI generously provides each association with a complimentary booth at the event. For more information on the show, visit www.showsci.org
