Beautiful sunsets, spectacular scenery, and magnificent northern lights are the setting for your fishing and hunting adventures at Northern Lights Lodge. We are located above the 56th parallel, 44 air miles SW of Lynn Lake, Manitoba, which is the sport fishing capital of Manitoba, or 500 air miles northwest of Winnipeg. The lodge and outcamp are in the untamed and unparalleled beauty of northwestern Manitoba. All of our lakes have a diversified structure of bays and islands, boulder strewn drop offs, weed beds, crystal clear depths to 240 feet, and a series of rapids and waterfalls. The fresh waters and healthy environment provide a natural habitat for an abundance of trophy walleye, northern, and lake trout. Our lakes lay in somewhat hilly country with a lot of high banks, making for beautiful scenery. Late August and September are some of the prettiest months in the north and a great time to view our spectacular northern lights.

Your hosts, John & Lori Frank spends the off season at their home in Minnesota. They are quite familiar with northern Manitoba as they have owned and operated Northern Lights Lodge for almost thirty years. Our pursuit of the ultimate fishing and hunting experience led us to the unrivaled beauty of the area around Northern Lights Lodge in northwest Manitoba, and it is by far the best area we have ever found.  We want to share this unforgettable fishing and hunting experience with you.

Come and experience catch and release fishing at it’s finest! We are the only lodge on the lake and in our area, accessible by floatplane only. Our main lodge package is the American Plan. Our lodge and cabins are nestled in tall pines and birch trees overlooking a beautiful sheltered bay. We only accommodate 16 people so we can give you the personalized attention you deserve. For those wanting to be on their own, we presently have one outcamp on Plumbtree Lake, which is fourteen miles long. It is the only cabin on the lake and accessible by floatplane only.

Come hunt one of the best areas allocated in northwest Manitoba. We offer guided spring black bear hunts and fall moose hunts. We have an exclusive hunt area, which is miles from any other hunters. These packages also include our great fishing. We have the different color phases of the black bear, including cinnamon, blonde, and chocolate brown.  Our hunters have taken an average of 50% color phase bears. Moose hunting is excellent. The moose in our area have some of the largest racks in North America. We continue to have a very high success rate every year on our bear and moose hunts. By limiting our number of hunters, we can ensure high quality hunts with optimal success, protect our natural resources and give exceptional personalized service.
