Message to Our Guests

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we continue to extend our heartfelt thoughts and concern to all those who have been affected by the wildfires here in Manitoba and beyond. We extend our deepest gratitude to the emergency personnel who have left their families and put their lives at risk for weeks on end, many of whom have lost their own homes. To the countless volunteers keeping the wheels of response and recovery in motion, thank you!

We also want to take this time to connect with our future guests who planned to visit one of the dozens of lodges across this beautiful province. Hosting guests is what these folks thrive on and excel at. Unfortunately this season has thrown unprecedented curve balls at many of them, most recently the provinces suggestion to re-consider non-essential travel. We have spoken to government officials and confirmed that the intention was to free up hotel space in larger centers and ensure all evacuees have a comfortable and safe place to stay. The intention was never to encourage folks to cancel trips to lodges that are not hosting evacuees.

In addition to this, many communities who are still evacuated will be returning very shortly and are eager to welcome their guests and have a phenomenal summer doing what they do best! As such, we genuinely ask that you do not pre-maturely cancel your trip. We encourage you to reach out to your hosts if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for considering Manitoba as your travel destination.
