Dear Moose Outfitter:
We are writing to notify you of changes that will be made to the 2026-2029 allocation
agreements throughout the province.
In 2026, all non-Canadian Resident moose hunting licence allocations in the province will
be reduced by 50%. Allocation agreements for the 2026 – 2029 period will reflect this
change.
This change prioritizes Manitoba resident hunters as per the General Wildlife Policy
PO10/01 and the Allocation of Hunting Licences to Licenced Resource Tourism
Operators Procedure PR-10/13/001. This reduction of allocated moose hunting licences
will assist in sustainable and effective moose management.
If you have any considerations that you would like the Wildlife Branch to take into account
in making this reduction determination, please respond to the Manitoba Wildlife Branch
at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by August 30, 2024.
Should you have further questions, please feel free to contact Rob Andrushuk (Wildlife
Allocations Manager) at 431-334-2274 or Todd Whiklo (Game and Fur Manager) at 204-
