Wildlife Branch New Hire! Dr. Kaleem

The MLOA is thrilled to congratulate the Wildlife Branch on Hiring Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Sarwar as their Manager, Wildlife Allocations. This is a critical position in the department, and our Board and staff look forward to working closely with Dr. Kaleem in his new role.

Dr. Kaleem earned his Ph.D in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan, where his research focused on developing protocols to improve bill and bison semen quality with applications in livestock breeding, biosecurity, and wildlife conservation. During his doctoral studies, he collaborated with the Institute of Veterinary and Biochemical Sciences on the Bison Integrated Genomics project, which supported bison conservation.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Kaleem worked with World Wildlife Fund - Pakistan on habitat assessment and ecological monitoring of wild boar and amphibian species, as well as developing a legal framework for effective wildlife management.

Congratulations Dr. Kaleem!
